Phase 1: Site Preparation
We clear and excavate the court area, remove unsuitable material, grade the site, and compact the subgrade before installing the aggregate foundation. We also establish the required slope so surface water can move away from the playing area.
Phase 2: Build the Structural Base
Depending on the project, we build the court over either a 4–5 inch, 4,000 PSI steel-reinforced concrete slab or a properly compacted hot-mix asphalt base. The base material is selected according to the site, project requirements, and planned court system.
Phase 3: Prepare the Playing Surface
Before applying the acrylic system, we inspect the base for low areas, surface irregularities, and other conditions that could affect the finished court. We correct the surface where needed so the acrylic layers have a properly prepared substrate.
Phase 4: Install the Acrylic System
We apply the acrylic surfacer to prepare and smooth the base, followed by the specified acrylic color and finish coats. Silica sand can be incorporated into the appropriate layers to provide the texture and traction required for outdoor play.
Phase 5: Complete the Court
Once the playing surface is finished, we install the selected basketball equipment and other court components. We then lay out and paint the basketball markings to complete the playing area.
